NSVI- Miami Vending

MIAMI, FL

Miami’s laws make it impossible for food trucks to operate outside of special events.  The city prohibits food trucks from parking in public parking lots and metered and unmetered parking spaces.

The Institute for Justice met with food truck operators and formed the Food Truck Association of Miami.   The association is dedicated to reforming the city’s laws, to ensure that all of Miami’s food trucks have the opportunity to serve their communities and succeed.

The city should be focused on protecting the public’s health and safety—not denying entrepreneurs the opportunity to earn an honest living while denying Miami’s communities of the many benefits of food trucks.
