Philadelphians: Support Property Rights, Come To The Open Studio Event

SAVE DUPREE STUDIOS 3617 Haverford Avenue

In 2012 Philadelphia City Council gave approval to the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority to acquire Mantua properties–including the studio of prominent artist and Philadelphia native, James E. Dupree–in order to clear an unnecessarily large parcel for an apparently undetermined private development.

We believe this action is part of Philadelphia’s unfortunate legacy of unjust and incompetent eminent domain seizure in the name of “redevelopment”.

Save Dupree Studios and preserve an artist’s dream, an asset to the Mantua community, and the arts in Philadelphia.

Join us on Saturday, April 26, 2014 for an Open Studio Event where we invite everyone to visit the studio before it is potentially torn down.

Sign the petition and find out more about how you can give your support.
