The State of New Mexico sometimes denies people a license to work as a security guard if they have a criminal conviction—even if the criminal conviction is very old or has nothing to do with whether someone would a good security guard.

We want to help you and others by changing the law.  States should not be denying you a license because of irrelevant criminal convictions.  That isn’t fair and it isn’t constitutional.

If you have already been denied a license or fear you won’t be able to get a license, we may be able to help.  We are a nonprofit law firm that fights for economic liberty nationwide.  Please contact us if you are interested in changing these unfair laws.
