Amanda Botts is a research assistant at the Institute for Justice, where she conducts research on occupational licensing law across the United States for the upcoming third edition of License to Work.

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy from Oklahoma State University. Before joining IJ, Amanda interned at the Heritage Foundation in the Meese Legal Center. Amanda has been published as a contributing author in The Daily Signal with pieces regarding Second Amendment and occupational licensing issues. Before her internship with the Heritage Foundation, she worked as a policy research intern for Americans for Prosperity Oklahoma.
