Daniel Rankin, a Law & Liberty Fellow, graduated from Tulane University in 2016 and the University of Texas School of Law with honors in 2019. During law school, he worked as a summer associate at Vinson & Elkins and served in editorial positions on the Texas Review of Law & Politics and the Journal of Law & Technology. After graduating, Daniel clerked for Justice John P. Devine on the Supreme Court of Texas and Judge Jeffrey V. Brown on the U.S. District Court for Southern District of Texas. After he completes his fellowship at the Institute for Justice, Daniel will clerk for Judge Don R. Willett on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and serve as a Coleman Fellow in the Office of the Texas Solicitor General.
