Deanna McCollum is an Activism Coordinator at the Institute for Justice, where she supports activists as they fight to vindicate their rights to earn an honest living, keep what they’ve worked so hard to own, and choose where their children go to school.
Prior to joining IJ, Deanna worked as a legal assistant specializing in regulatory research, advised elected officials on COVID recovery fund disbursements, and aided in designing programs geared towards sexual assault prevention.
She graduated from George Mason University in 2019 with a B.A. in Government and International Politics with a minor in Conflict Analysis and Resolution. She is now pursuing her Master of Public Policy at GMU. She enjoys hiking, baking, and Sunday mornings with her cats.
