Erion Malasi

Operations and Community Relations Manager

Erion Malasi has analyzed hundreds of bills as a former staffer for the Illinois Speaker of the House. He spent time writing and negotiating legislation around labor law, pensions, the State budget, and health care licensure. Erion’s biggest accomplishments in that role includes legalizing at-home midwifery in Illinois, pension investment reform, and participating in the recent police training reform passed in Illinois. Erion got his start in Illinois policy as an intern for the non-partisan Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability, where he released reports on the State pension systems, infrastructure development, and analyzed the budgetary impact of revenue and pension legislation for the General Assembly. Erion is a graduate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Political Science.
