Rachelle Engen serves as IJ’s Educational Choice Fellow where she helps ensure Americans have the right to control their own destinies by means of educational choice. She returned to IJ upon graduation after serving on IJ’s Activism Team as a Maffucci Fellow during the summer of 2016. Originally from the Show-Me State, Rachelle knew she wanted to return to IJ after being shown the imperative freedoms IJ fights for on a daily basis.
Rachelle graduated in May 2017 from the University of Missouri with honors with degrees in Political Science and Political Communication. While in college, she lobbied with Concerned Women for America, interned with Representative Vicky Hartzler and Senator Roy Blunt, served on the Editorial Board for the Kinder Institute’s Journal on Constitutional Democracy, and was a research fellow with the Political Communication Institute.
