Trey Barrineau is a research editor at the Institute for Justice, where he plays a vital role in editing, producing, promoting, and distributing the Strategic Research team’s reports.
Before joining IJ, Trey was the managing editor of publications at NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. While there, he oversaw all aspects of production for Development magazine, the association’s award-winning quarterly publication. Trey also helped edit NAIOP’s research projects.
Prior to NAIOP, Trey was a magazine editor with Key Media & Research, a provider of educational, marketing, management, and information services to the construction industry’s façade and building envelope segments.
Earlier, Trey held multiple roles at several newspapers, including 14 years as a multiplatform editor and copy editor at USA Today.
