In 2022, Cities Work included the city of Raleigh, North Carolina in the landmark study, Barriers to Business. Since then, the city of Raleigh has made major advancements in reforming regulations to make it cheaper, faster, and simpler to start a small business.
In 2025, Cities Work reconnected with the Office of Strategic Innovation and Small Business Development Team to update the research and introduce new reform recommendations.
In January, the Cities Work team will travel to Raleigh to conduct canvassing efforts and small business round tables to learn more about challenges facing entrepreneurs. Check back here for more information!
