Center for Judicial Engagement Forum on the Georgia Constitution

On Friday, February 4, 2022 at Georgia State University College of Law, the Center for Judicial Engagement joined with several judges and practitioners to discuss the Georgia Constitution and how the state’s courts should interpret and enforce it. Former Justice Keith Blackwell gave the keynote address. He was followed by a panel, moderated by IJ’s Erica Smith Ewing, discussing litigating under the Georgia Constitution, and featured Georgia appellate attorneys Andrew Fleischman and Josh Belinfante. Then, CJE’s Anthony Sanders led a discussion with Presiding Judge on the Georgia Court of Appeals Stephen Dillard and Gerry Weber of the Southern Center for Human Rights about unenumerated rights and state constitutions.
