What is #50Weeks50Constitutions?

Anthony Sanders · November 7, 2019

Know much about your own state’s constitution? Um, I mean, did you know your state had a constitution? Yes! EVERY state gets its own constitution. And for 50 weeks in 2019-20 the Center for Judicial Engagement talked about ALL of them, one state at a time!

We did this through the medium of our age: Twitter threads with lots of gifs. Posted by CJE’s Director, Anthony Sanders, with massive support from IJ’s Judicial Engagement Fellow, Adam Shelton. If you have a Twitter account you can find the threads here and can also search #50Weeks50Constitutions.

Not on Twitter? Not a problem! Links to non-Twitter versions of the threads are listed below. They’re here in alphabetical order, but were tweeted out in order of when the state adopted its first constitution. Oh, what was the first? Click below to find out!
