As an IT professional, Andy has primarily served in the operations support front specializing in systems administration, integration, analysis, deployment, and desktop support.
Like all IT professionals, Andy has a deep, abiding passion for technology ever since his early childhood when he received his first Intel 486 desktop PC. Since then, it has been an endless yet rewarding IT career path for Andy who enjoys and thrives in the daily challenges of his work that expanded and refined his skill set to support a diverse set of server and workstation technologies particularly by Microsoft and VMware.
Over the years, Andy has managed physical and virtual server infrastructures across multiple platforms and services including VMware vSphere, Windows Server, System Center Configuration and Operations Manager, and Linux server administration (Red Hat/CentOS and Ubuntu or Debian variant Linux distribution).
Prior to joining IJ in May of 2016, Andy worked as a government-contracted system administrator at Fort Detrick to support the rollout deployment and administration of a newer version of the DMLSS automated information system for the U.S. military health system within the development team environment. Originally from Maryland, Andy graduated and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Science at the University of Maryland University College in 2004.
