As the Donor Recruitment and Engagement Manager, Kristen works with the Development Team to cultivate and grow IJ’s community of supporters. She oversees IJ’s membership programs—including donors giving under $1,000 annually, monthly and special gifts donors, and new-donor acquisition efforts—helping ensure that every donor’s support is valued and celebrated. In this role, Kristen manages acquisition mailings, guides strategies to recruit and retain recurring and special gifts donors and supervises the team that makes these programs run.
As part of her work, Kristen develops and executes innovative communications plans that enhance donors’ experience with IJ and invite new members to join their ranks. This includes refining mailings and digital campaigns, as well as creating new opportunities to engage supporters and deepen loyalty among IJ’s most dedicated donors.
Prior to joining IJ, Kristen interned at Street Sense Media. There, she honed her skills in communication, donor relations, and fundraising strategy. Kristen is a proud graduate of the University of South Florida, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and government. Her educational background, coupled with her practical experience, enables her to connect with donors who share a passion for the causes championed by IJ.
