Tira Hawkins joined the Institute for Justice in June of 2025 as an HR Assistant. In her role, she supports the day-to-day operations of the HR department, including onboarding new staff, maintaining personnel records, and coordinating internal communications and events. She earned her BA in Organizational Leadership from University of Cincinnati, where she developed her passion for building strong, people-focused workplace cultures.
Prior to joining IJ, Tira worked as a flight attendant with United Airlines where she honed her skills in customer care, adaptability, and professionalism. During college, she also completed an HR internship, where she discovered her interest in building people-focused workplace cultures.
Originally from Ohio, Tira brings both warmth and efficiency to her work, helping to ensure IJ remains a welcoming and mission-driven workplace.
