The Institute for justice is located at 901 N. Glebe Rd, Suite 900 Arlington, VA 22203, two blocks west of the Ballston Metrorail Station, toward Glebe Road and Route 66.

Parking

There is a public parking garage located in the building. Enter off of Vermont Street. Street parking is also available. The floors in the building are locked, so please be sure to let us know you’re coming so we can inform security in the lobby of the building to let you up to the 9th Floor.

From I-66 East

Take exit 71 to Fairfax Drive. (Please note that I-66 is restricted to vehicles with no fewer than 2 people traveling eastbound from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. See below for alternate routes during these hours.) Cross Glebe Road and take the first right onto North Vermont Street.

From I-66 West

Take exit 71 marked Glebe Road. (Please note that I-66 is restricted to vehicles with no fewer than 2 people westbound from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. See below for alternate routes during these hours.) Turn left at the top of the exit ramp onto Glebe Road. Cross Washington Blvd. and 11th Street, then turn left onto Fairfax Drive. Take the first right onto North Vermont Street.

From U.S. Route 50

Proceed east on Route 50 toward the District of Columbia (or west coming away from D.C.). Turn left at the end of the exit ramp onto Glebe Road (or right if you are coming away from D.C.). Cross Wilson Blvd., then turn right onto Fairfax Drive. Take the first right onto North Vermont Street.

From North

Take I-95 south. Merge onto I-495 West / Capital Beltway via Exit 27 toward Silver Spring. After crossing over into Virginia exit onto Georgetown Pike/193 East. 193 will dead-end into North Glebe Road. Turn right onto North Glebe Road at this light. Turn left on Fairfax Drive, then take an immediate right onto Vermont Street.

From South

Take I-95 north. I-95 north becomes I-395 north. Take exit #7B/VA-120 north onto Glebe Road [VA-120] toward Marymount University. Turn right on Fairfax Drive, then take an immediate right onto Vermont Street.

From West

Take the Dulles toll road [VA-267] south toward Arlington/Washington, DC/Tyson’s Corner (you will need some quarters to pay the tolls). The last exit before I-66 is Route 123. Take Route 123 North (123 is also called Dolley Madison Blvd. at this point). Turn right onto Old Dominion Drive; take Old Dominion to Glebe Road. Bear right onto North Glebe Road. Turn left on Fairfax Drive, then take an immediate right onto Vermont Street.

From East

Take US-50 west. Continue on New York Ave. through Washington D.C. Turn left on I-395 south and take exit #8A/VA-27 onto Washington Blvd. [VA-27]. Take ramp onto Arlington Blvd. [US-50] toward Falls Church and bear right toward Glebe Road. Turn right on North Glebe Road [VA-120]. Turn right on Fairfax Drive, then take an immediate right onto Vermont Street.

Metrorail (DC Subway System)

Take the Orange line to the Ballston station. Once you reach the top of the escalator at the Ballston station, the main street behind you is Fairfax Drive. Walk West on Fairfax Drive for about 3 blocks. (West is away from the IHOP and toward Uncle Julio’s.) The first major (dual highway-type) intersection you’ll hit is Glebe Road.
