Juanita Swedenburg opened Swedenburg Winery in Middleburg, Va., in 1987. The family farm also produces beef cattle in addition to 15 acres of grapes. Swedenburg produced fewer than 2,000 cases of wine per year, of which 90 to 95 percent is sold at the winery.
