Introducing IJ’s New Strategic Benefactors

Planned giving offers a highly leveraged way to provide long-term support to IJ while meeting your estate planning needs.

We are honored to announce the B. Kenneth and Margaret Lawrence Simon Fund for Constitutional Litigation, made possible by the Simons’ generous planned giving that invested $1 million to generate at least $80,000 per year for IJ in the years to come.

In announcing their gift, Mr. Simon said:

“My most compelling reason for  funding IJ was my discovery of the Declaration of Independence and what I learned when I was about 10 years old and was taught at St. Catherine’s elementary school in Beechview, Pennsylvania, (part of Pittsburgh) about the founding of our Republic.

I fell in love with the concept of Liberty and never got over it.  General Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin have been my special heroes ever since.  Like many people it has only been lately that I’m learning the crucial role that James Madison played in formulating our Constitution.  God bless them and IJ!”
