Laura Kelly is an Activism Assistant at the Institute for Justice, where she works with activists and decision makers on occupational licensing issues, ending qualified immunity, and removing local regulatory barriers for small businesses.
Prior to joining the Institute for Justice, Laura worked on two local campaigns as Field Director and Campaign Manager, developing her community outreach and research skills. At the close of the election cycle, she began working with incarcerated youth at McLaren Youth Correctional Facility, serving as a skill development mentor and group life coordinator.
Laura holds a BA in Politics, Policy, Law and Ethics with a concentration in Sociology from Willamette University, and enjoys National Park hopping, live music, and dining locally.
