As the Institute for Justice’s Communications Project Manager, Phillip Suderman works to make the case for IJ’s key issues in the court of public opinion.

Phillip previously worked in Florida engaging lawmakers and activists to advance legislation on school choice, occupational licensing, criminal justice reform, and other areas expanding individual liberty. Before that, Phillip worked in crisis communications helping individuals and companies navigate the national media and federal landscape. 

Phillip was raised in Florida and is a graduate of Florida State University. In his spare time, he likes to read science fiction and watch college football.
