Sophia Henderson is a Litigation Fellow at the Institute for Justice. Sophia graduated magna cum laude from Washington & Lee University School of Law, and received her B.A. in philosophy, magna cum laude, from Sewanee: The University of the South. During law school, Sophia was a lead articles editor for Washington & Lee’s Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice. She also served as a summer legal clerk for the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE).
Before joining IJ, Sophia spent two years clerking for Judge Van Tatenhove of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. Sophia is a member of the Virginia Bar.
