Proofreader
The Institute for Justice—the national law firm for liberty—is looking for a talented and motivated professional to work as a paid, part-time proofreader and cite-checker of both legal and non-legal documents. The ideal candidate will possess a meticulous attention to detail, excellent command of the English language, intimate familiarity with legal citations and the Bluebook, interest in constitutional law, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Legal training, experience copyediting and exposure to libertarian ideas are definite plusses.
Terms of employment and compensation are negotiable, though the position does not qualify for any benefits. It is contemplated that the professional will work from home as an independent contractor with maximum flexibility. Promising candidates will be asked to complete a sample proofreading and cite-checking assignment.
IJ engages in strategic constitutional litigation to secure greater protection for economic liberty, school choice, private property, and freedom of speech. More information about the Institute for Justice can be found at www.ij.org.
