Daniel’s Test Kitchen

Daniel Will always enjoyed cooking, starting when he was a teenager and grew into a bigger passion as he got older. Daniel loves how creative people can be with food, how random ingredients can turn into a delicious meal. Food always brings people together and he loves that community building aspect. Daniel's Test Kitchen started out of a housing community when Daniel lived in San Francisco, he was able to cook a weekly meal for over 40 residents. He learned different ways and styles of cooking and saw himself in a ‘test kitchen’ trying new recipes he created. With strong support, Daniel turned that into a traveling pop up and catering business where he learned a lot about the food business. In Chicago for the past 3 years, Daniel has been able to take stronger steps in his business, utilizing business advice, mentorship and sales opportunities from South Side organizations like the Bronzeville SBDC, Boxville Marketplace, Hyde Park and Bronzeville Farmers Market and Sunshine Gospel Ministries along with providing catering services and jobs on the South Side. He’s been able to introduce delicious, new and fun kinds of food that combine comfort food with creativity for a unique eating experience!
