HB 3460: A Paid Apprenticeship Pathway for Beauty and Barbering Trades

40 of 50 states already offer apprenticeships in cosmetology and other beauty fields—with great results. It’s time for Illinois to join this trend!

HB 3460 would change Illinois law, creating a paid apprenticeship option so aspiring beauty professionals (nail technician, hair stylists, barbers, estheticians) can earn an honest living while training under licensed mentors—without massive debt.

A career in beauty and barbering shouldn’t require a lifetime of loans!

UPDATE: HB 3460 has now passed the House and has moved to the Senate! See more information below on how to make HB 3460 the law!
