Ashlynn recently joined the Institute for Justice as a paralegal and is thrilled to be a part of an organization that aligns with her values and works to bring about real change and improve people’s livelihoods. Ashlynn’s paralegal career began working for a private firm practicing in the areas of estate and tax planning, corporate, and real estate law, followed by working in family law litigation. Ashlynn’s background comprises both drafting complex estate and tax planning documents, as well as assisting active litigation and discovery in family law. Previously, Ashlynn volunteered at CASA as a Guardian-ad-Litem, which gave her extensive real-time experience in working with families and people of all backgrounds.
Ashlynn was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and went on to graduate from Boston University. Ashlynn now lives in Austin with her son, who is a thriving toddler in all his glory and keeps her on her toes. When not assisting the litigation team at Institute for Justice with various research, filings, and the preparation of documents for cases nationwide, Ashlynn enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outside in nature, traveling, trying new restaurants, volunteering, going to concerts, and working out.
