Jessica Bigbie is an attorney with the Institute for Justice. Jessica holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with honors from Cornell University and a law degree with honors from the University of Florida. After law school, Jessica worked as an Assistant Public Defender in the State of Florida, representing indigent clients in criminal cases. Following a move to Texas, Jessica switched her practice to civil litigation with a small insurance defense firm in Austin.
Jessica is licensed to practice in Texas and multiple Federal Courts, though she also has an inactive license to practice in Florida. Outside of work, Jessica enjoys cooking, exercising, and spending time with her husband and their two dogs.
