Dylan Moore is an Attorney at the Institute for Justice. He joined IJ in September 2023 as a Litigation Fellow. Dylan’s practice focuses on immunity and accountability, property rights, and the Fourth Amendment.
Dylan appeared before the U.S. Supreme Court in Martin v. United States. In Martin, the FBI raided an innocent family’s home by mistake and tried to escape accountability under the Federal Tort Claims Act. Lower courts sided with the government, but in June 2025, the Supreme Court unanimously reversed, allowing the case to proceed.
Dylan—a native Midwesterner—earned his law degree from the University of Chicago. Before that, he studied business economics and public policy at Indiana University. Between graduating law school and coming to IJ, Dylan clerked for the Honorable Robert T. Numbers, II, of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
