Allisia began working as a paralegal in IJ’s Minnesota office in March 2022 until the office closed a year later, allowing her to transition to remote work. Allisia enjoys assisting in litigation efforts that lead to impactful change and has assisted on cases in courts across the country – from administrative courts to the United States Supreme Court. She was the lead paralegal on the Martin v. United States case where victory was unanimous.

Allisia grew up in Montana and moved to Minnesota in 2017 where she lives with her daughter and small zoo. Prior to her work with IJ, Allisia spent four years as a paralegal for a family law firm in Minneapolis.

To many, death is a taboo subject. But not to Lauren Richwine, founder of Death Done Differently, a consultant who specializes in helping those with a terminal diagnosis and their families plan for the final days of life and what will happen after death. But the state of Indiana wants to silence this speech, which is why Lauren today teamed up with the Institute for Justice (IJ) to file a federal free-speech lawsuit to tell the state that it cannot silence these important conversations about death.
